There are lots of free resources out there to learn R. We are not going to reinvent the wheel. Rather, this program will use those free resources and add to it tasks that involve real economic work, very often the same kind of work that we do in our economic research. We hope that this training program helps you succeed in future research work of your own and give you an edge when applying to predocs and data science careers. This training program can be a great addition to a R class that you’re taking, but you can also go through it while learning R with external modules that we will link in each training task.

We will follow the YaRrr tutorials, swirl courses, and parts of R for Data Science for the Beginner modules. We will go through the rest of R for Data Science for the Intermediate modules. It is expected for you to finish the training modules over 3 academic quarters. We will go through Advanced R in the Advanced module (will likely not be offered in 2022-2023).
