Research Initiatives

Experimental Methods Initiative

The undergraduate research assistants working in this initiative will dive into the study of the experimental method in economics. They will learn about the relevant assumptions and conditions required for an experiment to be internally valid, replicable, and scalable. They will help by getting to know the existing literature, and collecting and analyzing relevant data.


Early Childhood Initiative

The undergraduate research assistants participating in this initiative will be working on experiments that seek to understand how to improve early childhood development (ECD) and how ECD affects multiple life outcomes. Depending on the stage of the experiment, RAs may be helping in the data collection, cleaning data, or analyzing it.


Baseball Initiative

The undergraduate research assistants participating in this initiative will dive into the study of baseball drafts and investigate how economic principles work in sports. We will study whether baseball drafts have a propinquity bias, look at the effects of various policies on the market of baseball trading cards, and more.


International Initiative
